Porth Hellick Down Burial Chamber

Porth Hellick Entrance Grave - SV 92850, 10848 (For the 'Sun Rock', head 120 degrees from here)

 

One of the largest and best of the St. Mary's tombs.  The circular mound is 40ft in diameter surrounded by a substantial kerb.  There is a roofless entrance passage (N.E. aligned) which is 13ft long, a slight bend, then a single, upright and angle topped slab (blocking stone). The chamber has four capping stones
